"Tori [Amos] was screaming and swearing at two girls in the front row," reads a post on the toriforum message board concerning the singer's December 12 concert at Copley Symphony Hall. A YouTube video posted the next day chronicles the meltdown.

Amos is at her piano, singing "Code Red." After the line "What you stole, I would have given freely," she stops playing (the band goes on a few beats) and points toward the front rows and says, "Hold on, hold on, get the fuck out of my show, get the fuck out, get out." She stands up to address the people and then sits back down, saying, "It's a privilege to sit in the front row. Shut the fuck up. I reserve those seats for people who appreciate music. Those are my seats. So get the fuck out!"

The crowd cheers a bit as Amos gives a quick Rocky-style victory wave and restarts the song. Reportedly, several security guards then escorted the two chatty patrons away from the stage.

"The two girls she yelled at kept talking on their cell phones," posted an attendee on TMZ.com, an account backed up by others. Some reported that the two offending female patrons repeatedly got out of their seats to pace back and forth in front of the stage, perhaps trying to improve their phone reception.

A statement released the next day by Amos's label reads, "Tori doesn't sell front row seats to her shows. She'll pick fans that are in the back row and she will upgrade them. It is a privilege to get picked. Apparently, these two girls were on their cell phones all night.... It was her sticking up for her other fans that missed out on the opportunity."

"Missed the opportunity to get yelled at," posted another toriforum user. "She screamed at me in Denver once when I had to get up and use the bathroom."

A post on TMZ, apparently from outside the U.S., reads, "Perhaps your audiences are really that rude there, considering how rude most of you are. Good manners must be going the way of the dinosaur where you all live, replaced by bullying aggression. Ugh."
