"We're in our 50s" is the reason Romano gives when asked about the sale.

Leib says, "Music retailing in a brick-and-mortar building is a dying breed." He says 70 percent of the store's sales come from CDs and vinyl records. Longtime Trade Roots manager Reuben Velasquez bought the business.

Trade Roots presents the Skatalites on Tuesday at the Belly Up. Ras Michael comes to Trade Roots on Saturday for a meet-and-greet.
