"I wanted to have the first stage be powerful and the second stage be a glimpse into the future bands that are either influenced, fans, or friends of mine and Megadeth," he recently posted in the forums section of Megadeth's website. "I am still interested in Dry Kill Logic, Overkill, Dead New Day, Re:Ignition, Life of Agony, Children of Bodom, the Agony Scene, Diecast, Symphony X, Otep, and believe it or not, Anthrax and Testament...."

One band you won't see on Gigantour is Rotting Christ. Mustaine is threatening to cancel Megadeth's two June festival dates in Greece because Rotting Christ is on the bill. (The band once teamed up with Mayhem for the "Fuck Christ Tour.")

"I said that I was not really interested in playing with satanic [bands]," Mustaine posted, "and that is because I changed my outlook on life and my spiritual beliefs over three years ago. I became a Christian, yes.... We will just have to pass and play Greece another time or place. I have informed my management, and they know what I feel."
