When Grateful Dead Guitarist Bob Weir

When Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir played 4th & B on February 9, Doug Hackett caught him walking into the venue at 8 p.m. Hackett tells me, "Bob...tripped and fell on the stairs leading up to the club."

Rob Williams, another fan who came to see the Ratdog show, said, "On the second song, he forgot all the words. I've seen Bob Weir 50 times, and he comes to 4th & B at least once a year. He's forgotten words to songs before. But the show kept going downhill.... When he did my favorite song, 'Lucky Enough,' he just hummed it.... After an hour of this, the band left the stage. We waited for the second set, and after another hour, some guy from 4th & B came out and said Weir was sick and couldn't continue. The rest of Ratdog came out and played for another hour and a half. The guitarist Mark sang lead, and it was great."
