In the Wake of Jay-Z

In the wake of Jay-Z's collaboration with Linkin Park on "Collision Course" comes news that P.O.D. may be doing something with the prolific rapper as well. On December 15, P.O.D. drummer Noah "Wuv" Bernardo told MTV.com, "There's talk about him trying to do a track with Sonny. We have some people talking in the industry...and they tossed it out to him, and they were saying he was kind of down. The further we go, the more we'll be able to see who is going to fit what style or whatever."

P.O.D. is scheduled to begin recording their next album in San Francisco in January, with Greg Fidelman (engineer for Weezer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers) serving as co-producer. David Hinds (of Steel Pulse) and Damian Marley (Bob's son and Motown artist) are slated to take part. "We have, like, 24 songs right now," according to Wuv. The new material was written over the past three months while the band lived in a rented residence in Palm Springs.

In other P.O.D. news, former guitarist Marcos Curiel's new band, Accident Experiment, will release their full-length debut CD United We Fear in January.
