Located in what was originally the Lewis Colonial Mortuary, Benbough Chapel specializes in customizing services to what the family wants. The biggest variable expense in funerals is usually the casket. They start at $450 and go up. Other options include memory boards (photo essays), customized corner pieces (engravings with themes for sports, hobbies, and military service that are placed on the sides of the casket), and embroidering for caskets. The chapel accommodates 120 people, but services can be arranged at larger venues. Cremations are available. There are no high-pressure tactics to exploit the bereaved and all religious denominations are served. Monthly payments can be arranged as well as pre-payment plans.
