It is getting harder to find a place to light up ever since the nonsmoking ordinance in restaurants and bars was passed in 1998. Although many bars and restaurants do have small outside sections for smoking, the Sunshine Company in Ocean Beach has a great upstairs sundeck with a view of the setting sun over the Pacific Ocean for those who want to light up. The Sunshine Company has a happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. offering half off all pitchers.
