Over the past decade, Cecil's, with its clear view of the popular surfing spot near the Ocean Beach pier, has made a name for itself as a breakfast spot. Locals have enjoyed pancakes and eggs while the surfers enjoyed the waves alongside the pier. But recently, Cecil's has added live music on weekend nights featuring local blues and classic rock bands. Almost as impressive is the exhibition-style kitchen, where you can watch your food being prepared, and the historical lobby decorations including an enlarged black-and-white photograph of the Ocean Beach shoreline taken in 1941.
