Silversmith Chris Reimer and partner Carol Holaday opened their crystal shop in April of 2000 and have developed a faithful, fanatical clientele. According to Reimer, people buy crystals -- some of which date back to ancient Egypt -- for their aesthetic qualities, metaphysical properties (particularly healing), and for their beliefs in the power of the Earth. The intimate shop carries crystals, stones, and custom jewelry. Classes are offered on stones and crystals as well as Reiki. They are located on Newport Avenue in a walk-in mini mall that used to house the Old Ocean Beach Café.
