Almost all new San Diego bands play here at some point. Feeling comfortable in the lounge-style atmosphere, the energy of bands like Ten Percent and Lot 13 can be contagious. Patrons dance up close to the stage or sit back at the opposite end to avoid the always-blaring music. Two bars keep the drinks flowing while mostly new bands or DJs try to get the crowd moving. If you make it to happy hour -- $2 wells and domestics; free pool from 4:00-7:00 p.m. -- you'll be ready to rock out to the first band or D.J. that comes on at 8:00 p.m.
