Skaters don't have to walk into Skateboard Heaven to feel welcome. A four-foot mini-ramp in front of the store costs a dollar to skate all day and loitering is encouraged. Inside, every manner of board and accessory is for sale, but a main attraction is the classic skateboards on display: Hang Tens, Banana Boards, and even a Roller Derby #10 from the late '60s, one of the first production skateboards, with the original metal wheels. For retail stock, anything not on display can be ordered. Top-of-the-line longboards average around $149, and custom completes (pick the components and they put it together) start at $129. The shop also does repair work, and a skateboard park is located minutes away at Robb Field.
