Ramona is a unique part of San Diego county. Though people who live "down the hill" and are not familiar with this little piece of perfection, it is neither city nor boonies. In the space of a twenty minute drive from the center of town, one can reach Julian, Escondido, Lakeside or Poway. We have antique stores with the unique and hard to find treasures tucked away in the back of dusty corners just waiting for discovery. We have wineries with tasting rooms and home-made pizza, and cuisine that well-rivals any of our down-the-hill neighbors.

Fast food restaurants are all over and none standing out from the crowd from another. The gastric delights lie within the sit-down places. There is Kenrix Sushi - the one place in particular that has brought people up-the-hill to go out to eat. Mama Rosa's has pizza that will get you thinking of Tuscany itself and for Mexican food, Mananas is the place to be.

We have a glorious park called Dos Picos link text with miles of walking trails, campground, duck pond where children are allowed to fish and playground with fabulous equipment that will keep the kids happily busy for hours.
