MEXICALI, BC – In changes to education, a subject on human rights now will be taught at the primary level, which would imply that from a young age there will be knowledge and acquisition of greater awareness about fundamental rights, like the right to life, health, housing and non-discrimination on religious or sexual preferences among others revealed Professor Jorge Carmona Tinoco.

The humanist spoke to electoral councilors, district councilors, professors, students and the public in general, about what are human rights, what are the principles governing them, how they arose and what are their classifications and characteristics. He stressed what human rights are in force in Mexico, constitutional changes and the duties and rights that are derived from them.

The seminar on human rights was carried out facilities of the Museum of the Autonomous University of Baja California. For his part, Enrique Carlos Blancas de la Cruz, adviser to the General Electoral Council President, said the electorate and citizens seek to promote a culture of human rights, as well as electoral civic rights, because they are priorities for a better social life.
