Mexicali, BC - So far of the municipal administration, has added 74 community patrols in Mexicali, highlighted the municipal President Francisco Pérez Tejada Padilla during an official presentation of a unit of the Directorate of Municipal public safety (DSPM) at Calafia fractionation.

The inhabitants of the aforementioned residential areas joined the Municipal police program, "Patrulla Comunitaria", which consists of neighbor committees that provide resources to repair abandoned units and is committed to supporting maintenance.

In his message to the tens of mexicalenses gathered in the public park in the area, the Mayor of Mexicali said the important thing is the coordinated work between the 20th City Council and citizens in the field of public safety. "I am happy to see a so unified community that works to achieve benefits and above all the safety of you and your families", he commented.

He congratulated the inhabitants of fractionation Calafia to organize themselves to achieve the goal of having a Municipal police patrol that makes constant rounds through the area streets. Woman Tries to Extort Former Legislator (La Voz de la Frontera, 11/12/12 by Juan Galvan)

Mexicali, BC - A woman intended to extort a man by giving his wife videos of him coming out of a motel with another woman as proof of his infidelity. A citizen complained to the local municipal authority to the alleged extortion, and she was detained by the Municipal police on the outskirts of the city at a burger bar.

The woman who was detained by Mexicali Municipal police first gave her as the name "Fernanda Diaz Martinez", 35, then said she was the daughter of a prominent politician of the PRI, then a niece of a peasant leader and ordered agents to release her, all of which proved false.

The woman called the cell phone of a former legislator demanding 15 thousand pesos ($1,134 US), since she had videotaped him on several occasions being unfaithful to his wife, but if he paid the amount she would destroy the evidence. The telephone exchange was made from the burger stand, located at the junction of Periférico Manuel Gómez Morín and Lázaro Cárdenas.

The victim said it was a romp with a motel maid he knows in colonial Lázaro Cárdenas. Leaving, he saw the woman traveling in a white vehicle video taping him, "but he did not pay her much attention," while traveling to the Civic Center until he reach the parking lot of a fabric business at calle Independence and calle Hospitale where he left his companion.

There he saw the woman again and that she had a hand-held camera and was filming him. He said they continued with their activities as if nothing when he received a call from the woman who said that he had been unfaithful to his wife and if he didn't want her to show the videos to his wife, he had to pay her 15 thousand pesos.
