More Craziness in the News

It's funny, because when I sit down to blog something, a lot of topics jump to mind.

My friend emailed me something that showed video of the best swimsuit photos of all-time. I clicked the first one, that showed Halle Berry from the James Bond movie. Then I remembered how he and I had a huge fight when he sent me a list of the 25 hottest James Bond women a few years ago, and Halle was on the list. I didn't think it was fair to have women like Denise Richards and her on it. Bond women had a tradition of not being famous until AFTER they were Bond girls. Yet, we started seeing women...around the time that Grace Jones played one in the mid-80s...that were already famous being in these films.

I deleted the email without looking at anymore, deciding I had done enough blogs on lists.

I thought about the current crop of news items that have me irked. And, it seems that's always what my blogs are about. But I can't help it. It's so nice to vent about these things. Especially since, the laws won't change. At least I can complain here about it.

Todays complaints include: the cell phone law going into effect. I won't be following it. Already I've talked to a few friends I couldn't hear as they were trying to use their Blue Tooth and it wasn't working properly. Besides, you're still allowed to text while you drive. If the laws are going to be done this idiotic, I won't be bothered to follow them. And...if we need to hands on the wheel, start pulling over people with their hands outside the door, tapping along to the music. Where does it all end?

I saw the video of the woman dying in the lobby of the hospital. But I can't really complain about that. Because, the hospital did the right thing. They fired seven people.

I saw that a guy in custody for supposedly killing a cop in a stolen car, was strangled. My friend said, "I bet you're happy about that. You always assume those people are guilty. So, that's one guilty person you don't have to worry about going through the legal system."

Well, no. I mean, yes. Yes, I do assume the guy was probably guilty. But no, I'm not happy about him being strangled. Just because I assume he's guilty, doesn't mean I want the cops or prison guards strangling the dude. Even if "they" think he's responsible for killing one of their own. That's not how society operates. And, it would open such a can of worms.

I want to see the place this guy was kept fire seven of their employees. They say about that many are the only ones that had access to him. No other prisoners did.

But, before they fire them, have them all take lie detector tests. I hear the FBI is involved. So, hopefully it won't be long for them to get to the bottom of who killed this guy.

With video cameras and all the tricky questioning techniques, it shouldn't be hard to get to the bottom of it.

But then, that Coronado police officer never got fired for not showing his badge and firing a warning shot in a residential area at a Chargers player before unloading into him.

The Oceanside police officer isn't losing his job after shooting into a car, hitting a young child.

I'm somebody that usually sticks up for the police, and I'm having problems with these things.

Chula Vista not boring

I had to play “Johnny B. Goode” five times in a row. I got knocked out with an upper-cut on stage for not playing Aerosmith.
