I came here for the first time with my 7 year old daughter on a Thursday c.4:30p.m., still slow- I only noticed one other customer. It was nice sitting outside in the patio with the greenery. I think the place has the vibe advantage due to being in North Park, cool people. I immediately noticed my salad wasn't fresh (you know when it's a bit soft and the lettuce was prepared maybe the day before and begins browning at the cut edges), but who really wants to complain if it's edible. The chicken marsala was fairly good and I loved the chocolate pie! The service was average. Antipasto Salad, Chicken Marsala, Chocolate Pie = $19.58. I thought the server was o.k. even though she didn't bring me more napkins like I asked- I tipped her $4.— June 21, 2009 9:34 p.m.

It's an all right place. The drinks are great, the food is usually good but not always fresh, the service depends on the individual employee. For example, I once got an e'clare that was really old- eeewww! I brought it back to the barista, she took it and ignored me. Standing in front of her- I was talking to myself, I felt like I was mute. She wanted to small talk at the counter with her co-worker (who wasn't even interested by the way). Another employee finally came and gave me service. Things can get frazzled on the busiest nights with only one cash register.— May 24, 2009 7:31 p.m.
