Padres keep losing, San Diego beer keeps winning
Humm, how do those points work, again? Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company, 2 golds, 5 silvers, 1 bronze.— May 31, 2016 12:45 p.m.

Think they are trying to figure this out. Love the sport, hate the ownership. Need to have more European sports like structure... if your city or an owner wants a team you can start at the bottom and work your way up.— March 2, 2016 9:43 a.m.
50 beers of the year
It's a great list. Thanks. Love than benchmark table beer is on the list. Loving that session beers are the next thing in SD...— December 20, 2014 7:41 p.m.
Sushi win!
I've enjoyed Eda-Mami on a sunny afternoon. Great location. Toshi San on Fay in La Jolla is very good. Sit at the bar and get real wasabi, and soy. The Miso Black Cod and grilled eggplant are excellent (as is the nigiri)— September 20, 2012 4:22 p.m.
The Center for Research in Computing and the Arts gets Cut at UCSD
Hardly knew it existed, thought it was part of CalIt2. But to me, it's really done it's job, providing a home to projects that could not have happened without a cross discipline resources. There are now two homes for the research: 6th college seems to be devoted to such interaction, and CalIT2. Dissolving of a long living ORU is sad. But really, ORU's appear and disappear. Just like redevelopment agencies, they siphon off resources from departments. So there is some push to integrate them into departments.— July 18, 2012 8:19 a.m.
