Bad Times for PB Drivers...
Ya if there's one thing you can count on, it's people driving horribly in PB. I have been riding a bike around PB since 2001. If I'm going somewhere on Garnet sometimes I will just take one of the allies north or south of the street to avoid traffic. The bottom line is, whether it's right or wrong, you are taking a risk by riding a bike in PB and you have to be watching what is going on all around you at all times. Even though the law requires it, I did not use a light when riding at night for years, but now I have one and I would highly suggest it. If you are going to be drinking, a bike is a great alternative to drinking and driving, although technically you can get a DUI on a bike (use the light at night). Also watch out for drunk drivers. You don't want to end up having your picture on one of those little homemade memorial crosses on the side of the street in PB.— January 29, 2009 8:04 p.m.
ALIEN LANDS IN PB
This story amused me and I actually laughed out loud a couple times. I like the short, informative sentences. I've lived in PB for 8 years and know exactly what he is talking about. I think a good rule to live by is to always respect locals no matter where you are, or where you are from. A place as amazing as this attracts people from all over the world, and unfortunately, boston.— January 29, 2009 7:19 p.m.
