Serious and devoted Pianist / Keyboardist / Organist AND Backup Singer/ Instrumentalists WANTED

for Blues Rock / Modern Rock / Alternative / Indie band.

We are a 4 piece looking to expand to possibly 6 or 7.

Our influences are many and are constantly expanding, therefore anyone with any kind of talent is welcome in our band. We are a foursome that have been together a few years and we are looking to make great music and have a successful future in the music industry. That being said, here are more specifics on what we are looking for:

1.) Devote at least 2 nights a week to rehearsal. On top of live performances and recordings which will mostly be occasional weekends for now.

2.) Come up with original and innovative contributions, and be an active part of a democratic and open music making process.

3.) For a Keyboardist / Pianist it is necessary to know some of the styles of the following people: Otis Spann, Amos Milburn, Memphis Slim, Fats Domino, Johnnie Johnson(Chuck Berry), Ian Stewart (Rolling Stones), Ray Manzarek (The Doors), Paul McCartney (Wings & The Beatles), Alan Price (The Animals). You DO NOT have to have their skills or play like them, just have a familiarity with rock & roll blues piano/organ. ALSO AND/OR have keyboard/synth influences from bands/artists like: The Shins, Phantogram, Chairlift, Arcade Fire, Zero 7, Moby, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Feist, Coldplay, U2. This list does not reflect the bands taste in music in any way. We all have many and different influences that shape our music and hopefully a promising candidate would bring new fresh influences into the mix. These are merely to give an idea of the style choices that would sound good with our music that we are currently writing.

4.) Be familiar with musical theory, concepts, and the history of any kind of music, and HAVE EXPERIENCE being in a band.

5.) Be willing to contribute monetarily to rehearsal studio rental (It's $40 or less a month per person, this includes storage and unlimited access and use), and recording fees when applicable.

6.) Must have an outgoing personality, and have no problems with live performance.

7) Must be ok with being in the presence of alcohol, tobacco, and other such items. So 21up is a plus. Ages 18-40 Ok depending on circumstance and maturity.
