Bio-war's San Diego mavens
Quite an amazing cast of characters on that Blue Ribbon panel!— December 8, 2014 11:31 p.m.
Congressman Peters and the dark arts
Best piece yet on this whole complicated mess.— November 14, 2014 4:40 p.m.
Such a lovely place (such potential for waste)
Nice digs. Maybe turn it into a luxury B&B?— November 3, 2014 3:42 p.m.
Manchester and Jackson: two debtors in Neverland
Great story. The guy is clever (Barrack).— October 27, 2014 5:08 p.m.
Faulconer readying real estate sell-off
Seems like such a simple project. Itemize the parcels, determine value, have a section with Notes regarding the property, assign a good staffer to maintain it. (Damn, an intern could do that!) And make it public. To think there is no organization in an area that is so manageable (real estate!) is appalling.— October 15, 2014 2:30 p.m.
Hot Wheels mafia
Great story. I didn't exactly understand how something goes from 98 cents to $300. I guess the collectors are paying for the convenience of not having to wait in this line, or get pushed around in the process. A good glimpse into another world.— October 15, 2014 9:40 a.m.
SDSU's top spook
Pretty amazing story. Have to think that SDSU hardly knew anything about him, but they were happy to take his money. He should be comfortable there in Arlington, sharing the space with heroes and spooks alike.— October 10, 2014 4:21 p.m.
Peace gives PG&E a chance
And I thought Brown's sister left the state for Chicago, to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest with her brother's term of office? I guess she is back.— October 7, 2014 6:30 p.m.
For-profit college financier Clifford drops out
No one who is legit uses "Dr." for an honorary degree. Kind of reminds me of the "Papa" Doug Manchester thing, only worse. The for-profit people are a disgrace and any time the federal government gets smart, that's a good day. Thanks for exposing these con men.— October 3, 2014 9:13 p.m.
Manchester's Grand Del Mar approved by commission
Appointing people who are going to have to recuse themselves regularly certainly seems counterproductive. But of course people with "conflicts" (in the business) are the ones who want and often get the job. This decision is shocking, when you really think about it.— October 3, 2014 6:56 p.m.
