No Pictures, Dude
The CSUN faculty register says she teaches Chicano Studies as a part time instructor. She got one of her degrees from NYU. Here's a good info page for you, surfpup. She's an extremely accompished woman. http://www.coolwatersprods.com/id132.html— October 9, 2009 6:01 p.m.

surfpuppy619, you really wouldn't get along with her at all. Besides counseling teens, she's also one of those people you rail about, a teacher. She's been teaching @CSUN for about 5 years or so.— October 9, 2009 12:16 p.m.

I could not disagree with you more, surfpuppy, when it comes to the value of advanced mathamatical skills. I know from personal experience that it would be nearly impossible to "adjust" a corporate ledger or "clean up" a balance sheet or "sanitize" a P&L without them. Outstanding math skills are essential in today's world. Any corporate CEO or CFO with tell you the same thing!!!!!— October 4, 2009 2:44 p.m.

You better watch it there surfpuppy. A remark like that will get you in all kinds of trouble.....with the ASPCA. Everyone knows circus chimps are way smarter than any of the Kardashian clan, especially their dimwitted mother!!! LMAO— September 24, 2009 6:28 p.m.

"We are in a deflationary period and most of the so called experts don't expect any inflation for several years, which would indicate there would be no need for COLA's for the foreseeable future." Yeah, that's what I said.— September 23, 2009 2:56 p.m.

Utilities Commission Denies SDG&E's Power Cutoff Plan -- Leaving an Out
The city opted out of social security in 1981 and adopted the SPSP in it's place. Of course, it excluded the PD and FD because they didn’t participate in Social Security prior to the City opting out. Originally all the assets were invested by the city treasurer. In 1996 the SPSP was restructured resemble a 401(k) plan by giving individuals more control over their investment selections.— September 22, 2009 3:32 p.m.

SS recipients received a cost-of-living increase of 5.8 percent in January of this year. You are correct that as of right now, there are no colas projected for 2010,2011,& 2012. But keep in mind, a cola is based on inflation and that projection is based on prices going down, not up. The average Social Security payments for this year are estimated to be $13,836.00 after the cola is applied, so you are just about right.— September 22, 2009 3:15 p.m.
