Opposing Suns came together as a musical group to give the world a gift. Our music, art, videos, etc. are our gift to the world before we go, consider it a parting Gift.
"Therefore when you see the abomination that desolates which was spoken of through the prophet Daniel, standing in a holy place,... flee to the mountains." This music comes from the belly of the earth, from the dark dripping caverns hidden below. We hear the darkness cry, "Know yourself!" Please don't be afraid of what is beneath the surface, explore the 'darkest of your furthest reaches'. Only then can you make peace with your brother. Know that when you hate your brother, you only hate yourself.
Opposing Suns have sought to resolve the battle raging inside of all of us. The battle of our self percieved opposites, that we for the most part project onto our fellowman. It is ourselves that we fight when we call our brother evil and condemn him. Opposing Suns have chosen instead to look in the mirror and see the things we try to hide from, and accept them. They want to harmonize the opposing forces within.
When you have accepted and united the opposites within yourself, you love your fellowman and have no use for their insane wars and religious, social, and political divisions that create constant bickering and hate. You feel out of place in this mad world and want to change it. You want to help mankind look in the mirror and see that the battle is actually inside and can only be resolved by acceptance of the so called darkside. Acceptance leads to healing both "sides", leading to completed oneness. This oneness will one day pervade the entire earth, but until that time Opposing Suns have work to do. Yet the cave calls, "Come hide when your crazy brothers and sisters cannot handle your mirror reflection of them any longer. I will hide you until the appointed 'time'."
