A School Principal’s Reflections on Race
It is no wonder to me that Mr. Murchison can lead an army of children to heights greater than they themselves or their parents can imagine. Derek is someone I've looked up to for many years, and to see him go from Teacher of the Year to school principal is an accomplishment well deserved and illustrated very beautifully in this article. Well written and inspiring to a young black male like myself who also educates and inspires youth who all do not speak my language fluently... yet! -Randall Keith (Tokyo, Japan)— January 22, 2011 11:27 a.m.
