The reign of Dag Hammarskjöld
The "Captain Ian Kerr" that couldn't be traced in the documentary is definitely my horrible estranged father who returned to England in the early '60s. He told my mother about some of this and she told my sister although I don't think he was directly involved. I can remember him blowing up after I noticed a picture of him in his white naval uniform and asked him about it. He's living in the Braunton area of North Devon, England. The UK gets a bum rap from the documentary, it was the only major power looking to do good in the post-colonial era and has been greatly praised by the UN for the mature and careful way it handled the long and difficult process of de-colonization, the direct opposite of France. If any-one can pass to Mads Brugger I'd be grateful.— February 11, 2020 6:46 a.m.
