Some Rules for Riding San Diego's Craft Beer Superhighway
I just want to add that at Lost Abbey we're serious about our Holy Water. It may come from the municipal water system, but our reverse osmosis filtration system and water tanks really are regularly blessed/prayed for (depends on the religion) by priests, priestesses, pastors, ministers, reverends and rabbis. In other words, it really is Holy Water. (So if one of your friends bursts into flames in our tasting room, don't blame us. You know what happened.)— August 24, 2011 3:55 p.m.
A Tale of Two Beerfests: Part 1 (Sour Fest)
Thanks for the Lost Abbey mention Brandon! Our Duck Duck Gooze -- a play on the Belgian "Gueuze" -- is a blended Lambic-style sour takes a little over 3 years to produce. The last release was 2009, so it's not due again until late 2012 (maybe later if Mother Nature doesn't inspire her barrel critters to sour up). The fact that you recall it enough to mention it years after it's release means we did a good job. Thanks! ::Sage The Lost Abbey & Port Brewing— June 27, 2011 2:04 p.m.
