Residential puts squeeze on Linda Vista retail/industrial
Thinkered? If you were an actual person who lives anywhere near the area, you would know that the concept of a high rise apartment/condo complex with Mission Bay views being considered "affordable" brands you as hallucinatory. Let me help you with that search for "affordable" housing; https://waco.craigslist.org/search/apa— March 14, 2017 9:49 p.m.
No affordable housing on Tavara Ridge
The new homes will also have an affect on the existing houses in the neighborhood being more likely to be remodeled and resold. Face it, most of these are small houses built in the '50's and are due for a knockdown remodel. Just drive around the area, note the addresses and look at Zillow for the sales history. A house around the corner from the new homes sold in the last year for $460K, was remodeled and just sold for $650K after being on the market less than a month. It may have cost $100-150K for the remodel. Am I the only person who wonders what the City is doing with all of the increased property taxes besides dropping $3 BILLION on toilet to tap, or developing a carbon dioxide plan, or giving Dean Spanos and the NFL a sweetheart deal? How about building the long planned Governor Road and North/South La Jolla Scenic Dr. bridges. You know the ones laid out in the 1960's... yeah, that would be great! Homeless veterans and potholes... I see lots of THEM every day, does the City have a master plan for them?— January 11, 2017 6:21 p.m.
