Pedaling Diego: San Diego's Growing Bicycle Mania
Way to go riding on the 163 where cyclists are prohibited. I bet you were a part of the geniuses who rode across the Coronado Bridge and create havoc through and around the airport in past bike riots. Being caught in one of your riots with idiots in the rides slamming their hands and handle bars into my car has given me less respect for your group.— December 29, 2010 4:40 p.m.
I don't know where I live
From the sounds of this blog, I'm probably neighbors with the author. The seedy bar is probably the "El Uno Bar" and the best steak burger place is most likely the Canadian Steak Burger. A couple years ago this section of San Diego seemed to have been starting a turn around for the good but has since started to back slide into the ghetto it once was. I personally can no longer stand the constant graffiti, police heli over head all hours of the night, the disrespectful little children that slam their handlebars into my car and have no supervision because the father is drinking his 5th tall boy of chelada in the driveway with the car doors and trunk open blasting oompah music all day and night while the mother is prego with their 7th child all while living in a one bedroom cottage that seems to have a bounce house in front of it every other weekend. For me, I'm done with this neighborhood.— September 21, 2010 12:15 p.m.
Letters
Hey undercover racist complainer. Homo sapiens originated in Africa and migrated through out the rest of the world. We can all be clasified as African American. You should see the looks I get sometimes when I check that box.— August 25, 2010 4:17 p.m.
North Park vs South Park
#57 So when I end up paying $30 (not including tip, I rarely stiff servers but they were awful) for two orders of 2 eggs bacon and brown rice with coffee and only to be ignored by our server who is standing 4 feet away wasn't bad enough, now your telling me that I subsidized "those she thinks need it or deserve it." Pure crap. I ate there twice and had identical experiences.— August 12, 2010 12:56 p.m.
Why don't you eat meat?
In response to Erica, How do you feel about hunting? I'm a hunting advocate and love eating the game I stalk and kill. I eat some form of meat about 85% of the meals that I prepare.— July 26, 2010 4:30 p.m.
North Park vs South Park
My rant isn't about the night life, it was about the fact there is nothing open with in walking distance past 9pm other than bars or the 7-11. Had a few incidents where I needed a drug store and had to drive up into North Park. Also, the hipsters are invading South Park and ruining it "Oohh, look at me I'm so cool that I don't enjoy anything that is popular and oohh I'm so cool I wear sweaters and scarves when its 95º outside, and stop sign smop sign I just ride my bike through. Kind of why I stopped going to Hamiltons if it was after 8pm because it gets really douchey in there at night. Where do I live now?? On the Cusp of North Park and Normal Heights. Where do I do to "Get my drink on" maybe 3 to 4 nights a month? Lou Jones, Rosie O'gradys, Ould Sod, and Blind Lady Ale House. I personally detest most of the 30th street bars.— July 26, 2010 3:03 p.m.
Hate Override Complete
Awesome, these nut bags need to be counter-protested everywhere they go. Superheroes 1, Cult 0— July 23, 2010 5:01 p.m.
North Park vs South Park
Big Kitchen = Over priced blah food and super rude and slow service. I used to live in South Park but left because nothing is open after 9pm except for a couple bars.— July 23, 2010 4:55 p.m.
Earth Lovers and Baby Killers
Glad no violence occurred. The fact is the radical element can be very dangerous/deadly on an issue like this. ================================================================= No kidding. The prolifers bomb and kill doctors...kinda funny don't you think.— July 7, 2010 1 p.m.
It's Late, It's Loud
My guess is that the bar has been in business since before you moved into the neighborhood. In which you lacked due diligence in selecting where to reside.— June 4, 2010 2:06 p.m.
