All Around You
The Happy Man, for one, will very much miss this stage. I've been a season ticket holder of the Old Globe for years and most of the plays that have impacted me me the most have been there. I remember when I saw I Just Stopped By To See The Man, I was so moved that it inspired me to go out and buy my now signature black hat. Seeing plays at this theater is similar to see a great music at a small venue where you can almost touch the artists. The difference is that music shows can often become larger group experiences that make up for the lack of intimacy. Many plays simply wouldn't work as well in the larger setting, they don't translate as well. I'll miss the stage. http://www.happyron.com/?p=155— February 19, 2009 11:47 p.m.
