MARIJUANA: OUR PRODUCE - OUR STATE - OUR MONEY
Imperial Beach already allows groups of up to three people to grow marijuana for their own personal medical use. I oppose Measure S because I don't want Imperial Beach to become the marijuana Mecca of SD County and I don't want Palm Avenue and Seacoast Drive to have another influx of sleazy businesses. (We already have too many bars as it is, plus a sex shop on Palm Ave.) I note that the above article ignores the fact that Measure S still restricts marijuana sales to those holding prescriptions. We both know that the SD Reader is filled with ads from so-called doctors who are quite willing to write such a prescription for anyone who asks and pays for a doctor's "consultation".— October 27, 2012 4:09 p.m.
