San Diego city attorney dances to lobbyists' tune in banquet video
i think the irony is that it was posted on April 1, of course the Fools Day.. also think its ironic that they are arrogant enough to say on the nominations page that Self-nominations are encouraged...cant tell anymore if im watching comic opera or Shakespearean tragedy...— April 3, 2013 8:41 a.m.
GOP super-lobbyist long tied to U-T San Diego publisher enters Padres TV fray
Matt, what i'd like to know is if Filner and the City Council are going to follow law and drop the "territory" arrangement that Cox and TW have had with the City since cable entered the area in 1979... the contracts state that Cox has south of the SD River, TW (formerly Southwest Cable) has north except for a few pockets in both areas..... the courts/feds ruled on issues such as this thanks to ATT and Verizon in the consumers favor almost two years ago... Cox claims that they have no intent to open up the area for TW, and TW wants to be in the area south of the river...especially since most of their employees live in the Cox area... dont know if this could help push the Padres/Fox to TW, but could possibly increase revenues for the City for fair competition of cable cos?— March 26, 2013 1:44 p.m.
