neighborhoods/ocean-beach -- Ocean Beach
This is OBChuck. I discovered an excellent hike/walk recently for those in the 92107. This works best on a low tide! I recommend good walking shoes as there are a couple of tricky parts and a camera or camera phone as well. Start at OB Pier by the stairs and walk south (to the left as facing the sea) along the reef. Continue south along the reef as far as you can. There are some amazing semi-secret beaches and coves to check out, too. At some point take the stairs up the street, and stay as close to the water as possible. You may end up walking down an alley, just follow the bike route during this part. Eventually work your way to Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and make a right turn. Continue south on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. You will go past a gas station on the left and a small restaurant on the right . Continue on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard until you reach Sunset Cliffs Natural Park..There are ports-potties in the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park (about a 35 minute on way walk or 70 minutes for the round trip.) . http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/may/0…— May 2, 2013 11:39 a.m.
