Yesterday we enjoyed the Blues & Barbacue summer concert in the park. Wow what a crowd and the music was great. Bill Magee was awesome!!! Thank you Santee for giving us this great event each year. My husband always says "Santee Is Where It's At " and now I believe him! Everyone should visit our beautiful Town Center Park and enjoy a Thursday evening summer concert. Our concerts start at 6:30pm and run through August 22nd. Yes, they are Free!— July 19, 2013 4:42 p.m.
" Santee Lakes on Christmas morning"
Had some relatives here for Christmas and wanted to show off Santee. What a better place than Santee Lakes. It was a beautiful day around 68 degrees. In other words Perfect! After a great Christmas dinner my sister in law Trish commented how beautiful the day was. I said Santee is where its at!— December 29, 2012 10:22 a.m.
From a Bean
Diary of a Diva is the first articles I read. Enjoy your take on things and truly enjoyed From a Bean. It reminded me of my neices and nephews. Thank you for doing a great job.— February 21, 2012 12:59 p.m.
Moonstruck
Moonstruck Last night as the full moon was shinning brightly in my bedroom window the movie Moonstuck came to mind. If you are a Cher fan you already know she received an Acadamy Award for her performance. I recently watched it again on cable and I was amazed with Nicola Cage's performance and the ensemble cast. My first showing was in 1987 in Westwood, Calfornia at the Egyptian theater. Being in Los Angeles I was hoping to see a celebity. While first in line I excitingly saw Elizabeth Taylor and Rowdie McDowel enter the theater. I purposly sat in the row behind them. I was a little nervous as I wanted an autograph so I politely asked. Ms. Taylor was sweet and friendly and obliged me. When the movie was over everyone clapped and Ms. Taylor remarked what a good movie and I agreed. To me the movie is so funny and being Italian it makes me laugh out loud. Moonstruck has become one of my favorites because it is about Love and Family and That's Amore!!— October 14, 2008 2:04 p.m.

Sorry to hear about another business closing anywhere no less in Santee. The location was not a good one for this type of business as not too many walk bys. Santee is a great place to live and shop. So get out there and keep this crazy economy going............— October 8, 2008 2:29 p.m.
The Women
I must say I was skeptical at first as the reviews were mixed at best. I love the actresses so I decided to spend my hard earned money. Annette Bening was awesome and I found myself laughing out loud. Alot of the movie was about rich women shopping and getting a manicure at whim. But I liked the story as it was uplifting and mostly about friendships good or bad. As a female I think all women young and old should see this movie and decide for themselves. The final scenes were true to life, very funny and I felt good as I left the theater.— September 26, 2008 1:40 p.m.
Panda Country
On our many trips to Panda Country we have yet to have a bad meal. When our regular waiter Robert see's me and my husband he asks only "samething" and all we do is nod. Our custom dish is comprised of tender chicken, succulent shrimp, broccolli, mushrooms and peapods in the best brown sauce this side of Beijing. In honor of this year's olympics I decided to write this review.— September 11, 2008 1:08 p.m.
The Omelette Factory
If you are looking for some very good food at a reasonable price you must try The Omelette Factory in Santee. On my usual visit I am greeted with a smile. I have had friends meet me there on occasion an they are always surprised at the taste and value of the food. The potatoes are too die for. Go ahead and treat yourself and you will be back. My only wish is that they had longer hours. What a Factory!— September 8, 2008 1:21 p.m.
