What purpose does "gleeking" serve?
I actually believe that the term "Gleek" didn't have any meaning behind it when it came to spitting. I think that some kid did it and made a "glee" noise with their mouth, like, you flip your tongue up similar to that to make a "G" sound, and then the "eek" Part comes from your mouth being open and spitting. I'm probably not the first person to think about this, but this is probably the most reasonable explanation, because we can't find any others.— February 26, 2020 7:13 a.m.
