Westley Copeland
Westley has been playing and writing music since high-school. He started with an old Ukulele from a pawn shop he bought on a whim. He had been writing poetry for years so when he started playing music songwriting came naturally. And just like his poems, as soon as he got one out he was eager to spread the joy and share his songs.
Since high-school Westley has gained experience playing a wide range of music and instruments. From didgeridoos, singing bowls, native american flutes and hand drums to guitars, keyboards, lead vocals and drum sets. He has played lead and supportive roles in several bands and has played at local San Diego venues including; 710 Beach Club, Brick by Brick, The House of Blues, OB Playhouse, Queen Bees and more. And he has played for a long list of private events like yoga classes, fundraisers, street fairs, wedding receptions, festivals, sound meditations etc...
Currently Westley is crafting a solo project called WestCope, which he describes as a hybrid of organic and electronic instrumentation. As the new sound develops he continues to play throughout San Diego on a regular basis and is always looking for opportunity to play out and more friends to grow the family of music.
