San Diego's best IPAs, sours, browns, reds, session ales, and pales
Ouch. Snub Hess? Best stouts in town. Great session IPA too. Check it out.— October 28, 2015 5:38 p.m.
Hikers stumble upon marijuana plantation in Cuyamaca State Park
It is NOT legal to carry a loaded firearm in a California State Park. I am aware of a hunter having his weapon confiscated in Cuyamaca State Park last fall. I do believe it is legal in the National Forest as NFS allows hunting.— February 21, 2012 11:43 a.m.
The Jerry Schad Trail
To say the Cedar Creek fiasco was a result of Jerry Schad including it in his books is probably an exaggeration, at best. I doubt many of the flip-flop clad partiers, carrying beer instead of water, were hikers at all, much less readers of Jerry's books or articles. There are many, many hikers out there, who learned about San Diego's beautiful backcountry from Jerry Schad, and would appreciate a memorial to his contribution to the enjoyment of the county as a whole. I like the idea of a major county trail being named in his honor, as it probably matches his influence in the last 3 decades on San Diegans' enjoyment of the outdoors.— October 3, 2011 11:26 p.m.
End of the Trail
Thank you, Jerry, for all you've done to promote and inform on hiking in San Diego. You've been a true inspiration. Best Wishes. Marc A— July 6, 2011 5:51 p.m.
