Sweetwater Union HS District Board Meeting Skips Public Comment
Annie: [re comment of June 14] How could anyone ever "believe in" Brand, considering his record? I found it amazing that he was brought back to help clean up the district. Was there no one else who would take the job?— June 15, 2012 11:11 p.m.
Sweetwater Union HS District Rescinds 19 Layoffs, but at What Cost?
So, are they going to shut down the whole damn district? That's essentially what they're going for, and it can be seen especially in the rehiring of Brand. That move engendered even more dismay in those familiar with his record. You would think that somebody in the administration (or the board of trustees, heaven forbid) would have the guts and the intelligence to stand up to this, but it seems not. Once again, it's up to the people who care about and do the work of educating our children, i.e. the teachers. The community at large, and especially the parents of those children, need to know more about the corruption in Sweetwater that goes way beyond the construction scandals.— April 29, 2012 2:35 p.m.
