San Diego rude taxi drivers
I understand you frustration. Receiving bad service is always frustrating - as is getting the run around from an agency. The more I learn about the taxi industry in San Diego, however, the more I understand drivers. Most of them don't own their cars so they work as independent contractors. By the time they pay for the lease and gas, most of them are working 12 hour days to take home a grand total of $52. While this doesn't excuse rudeness, I doubt how pleasant I would be if I made less than $5 hour.— November 8, 2012 10:21 p.m.
