Some in National City want Morrison again
I don't understand the math here: "According to the group’s 460 form, the ballot initiative has raised $70,458. Contributors include the Lincoln Club of San Diego County ($10,000), Party Time Liquor on Market Street in San Diego ($5,000), Rancho Bernardo Towing ($40,000), and National City Puppy ($40,000)." Add up those contributions, and you get $95.000. I think one of those two $40,000 contributions has a typo in it. Also, this statement is slightly inaccurate, as Measure B also applies term limits to the city clerk and city treasurer positions: "The National City Citizens for Responsible Government wants to impose a limit of two consecutive four-year terms for mayor and city council members." Otherwise, good article. Thanks for your valuable coverage of local government.— April 10, 2018 4:32 p.m.
