The Philly Grill
The Philly Grill in North Park is superb! Like many "hole in the wall" restaurants this one is a great find. The owner Suzanne welcomes you with a hearty hello and smiling service. She is also quick to recommend her favorite combinations for the best sandwich to fit your desires. The original philly cheese with a mix of hot and sweet peppers and american cheese will have you addicted from the first bite. If you enjoy mushrooms, you have to try the mushroom steak sandwich with sweet peppers,and Wiz cheese...oh my delightful! Don't forget to complete your meal with the french fries and onion rings. The french fries I expected to be just another fry, but was pleasantly suprised with the garlic flavoring. The onion rings are another easy addiction. I am a lover of onion rings and these are by far the best I have ever had. Next on my to try list is the philly cheese fries. The seasoned fries topped with steak or chicken and Wiz cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Wherever you are located in San Diego, it is worth the drive to try a sandwich. The hardest part will be deciding which one to choose!
