I saw it on TCM, and I believe, let me do a quick check if it's available on DVD at the TCM website...
Yup! http://shop.tcm.com/detail.php?p=365285&SESSID=54…
But it's not worth buying for $21.99!! I wonder if the DVD looks as good as the version they showed on TCM. They hopefully are the same. I had my library order a copy of Reap the Wild Wind and it looked plain awful, with bad color fades compared to the TCM version. I know I brought that up before, but I can't help on harping on it.
Yeah, Addison Richards jumping off a cliff was real funny. Right before that was a good chuckle when Tracy sees the unseen Indian head that Addison was carrying around.
Another real good one was 'The Lawyer' with William Powell which is another recent one I saw on TCM. William Powell made a lot of excellent B movie fare. So far most everything I've seen him in is worth watching. — October 18, 2012 12:51 p.m.
Review: The Girl
I agree, Sopranos was crap. Or at least what I've seen of it. So HBO has released a tv turd called 'The Girl' and a TV show called 'Girls'. Real original! Speaking of 'Girls' created by Lena Dunham (produced by Judd 'A-Hole' Apatow), what do you think? This year I saw 'Tiny Furniture' and I thought it was awful Woody Allen derived hipsters' on downers bullshit. I don't get Lena Dunham at all.— October 26, 2012 10:59 a.m.

There but for the grace of John Wayne's The War Wagon go I
What? I just looked again and the orginal price for Northwest Passage was $26.99!! You save $5! It's tempting. If you have recorder on your cable box it might be worth just waiting till it pops up again on TCM. I can't afford the extra cost, but I wish I had it because they are playing some great stinkers in the middle of the night: Johnny Cool over the summer, and recently Alexander the Great with a very blonde Richard Burton, which looks so atrocious I have to see it.— October 18, 2012 1:02 p.m.

All these years later and you finally saw War Wagon?! I'm shocked! I really enjoyed it. Speaking of non stop laughs. Just checked out a beautiful, pristine transfer of Northwest Passage with Spenser Tracy. Looked like Tracy had a raccoon on his head. Nice hair piece. Much of the credit must go to the two DP's: William V. Skall & Sidney Wagner. Too bad they didn't shot it in wide screen.— October 17, 2012 12:40 p.m.

A Home for Spielberg
Bring your sunglasses for the Lincoln movie. Don't hurt your eyes. Anyway, I used to think you had a cool job, but it's hard work to sit through the crap you have to slog through every year. Here's some recent gems I've seen: The Lusty Men - (thank God Ted has done one thing right! Superb HD copies of great films) I've been meaning to see this one for years, and I was blown off my rocker. I've fallen and I can't get up (canned laughter). La cérémonie - All comparisons to Hitchcock are for lazy ass critics. Chabrol stands on his own! Going Places (1974) - Just think I went from La cérémonie to Going Places! Gérard Depardieu is demented in the best way possible. they would never make this in America. Never. Johnny Carson King of Late NIght (PBS) - I'm looking forward to the day they start rebroadcasting the vault. Deconstructing Harry - Woody Scorsese. It's nice to hear Woody cursing nonstop.— October 7, 2012 3:40 p.m.
