We know SDLFF is good, but this is when we find out, is Digiplex?— March 5, 2013 2:18 p.m.
Something's rotten in the Emerald City
Because I'm sure that 1.33 footage looks just lovely windowboxed on all four sides in IMAX.— March 4, 2013 1:19 p.m.
Complete Rundown of The San Diego Latino Film Festival's Opening Night Celebración!
Well, now you've learned to the contrary? Must have been a misprint on my list...— March 9, 2012 4:34 p.m.
Complete Rundown of The San Diego Latino Film Festival's Opening Night Celebración!
Just to make sure you're aware--so you don't have a heart attack onsite--POST MORTEM is screening via HDCam, not 35mm, in #2. I'll be there anyway.— March 8, 2012 9:14 p.m.
The Movie Star Mural at Edwards Mira Mesa, Part 1
The same “mural" can be found in at least two other Edwards locations. It's not even original!— February 9, 2012 2:06 p.m.
Give Your Sweetie the Gift of Cinema & Free Popcorn This Valentine's Day
Whewf... by popcorn salt, I thought you meant the orange stuff that goes into the machine (which I know some people ask for)... they're nuts.— February 8, 2012 12:49 p.m.
Oscar Picks and Shovels
Your anti-ARTIST bias is showing, sir. I'd love to see Malick and A SEPARATION win, but both of those categories will go to The Overrated One.— January 24, 2012 12:11 p.m.
Colorado Man Dies in Multiplex Bathroom, Body Not Found for FIVE Days
That's pretty unbelievable. When I worked at a multiplex, we would even check behind the screen before closing for a homeless person who might be camping out for the night.— January 17, 2012 12:09 p.m.
Golden Globe Awards Live Blog
Does anybody on the face of the earth get STARZ?— January 15, 2012 5:46 p.m.
West Side Story Returns to the Big Screen for One Night Only
Yep, shot on 70. The Egyptian ran a freshly minted 70mm print with a fully restored 6-track mag soundtrack last year. I criminally missed it because it was over Thanksgiving and now kick myself. I wasn't there -- class all morning. Last time I saw a film in #4 (July), the subtitles were cropped off, but the image looked great.— November 3, 2011 6:32 p.m.
