Benjamin Rolland
My name is Benjamin Rolland and I am a local resident of San Diego County. I have been a San Diego resident since 2002. I completed my undergraduate degree in anthropology at the University of California, San Diego and am pursuing a Master's degree in a program through Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in collaboration with members of the American Zoological Association. In my program, I am part of a cohort affiliated with San Diego Zoo Global. My degree focuses on conservation science and engagement. Recent steps in my career have taken me offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, working on seismic vessels as a protected species observer, and most recently as an archaeologist for the state and private firms. My current research interests include promoting reusable alternatives for consumers while stepping away from single-use waste.
