Mr. Castaneda Goes To Oaksterdam
Marijuana should be legal not only for medical patients but for adults who choose it as a healthier alternative to alcohol. Americans should not be arrested for making healthier choices about their own bodies. No matter how many people we arrest, it's still easier for high school students to buy pot than beer. Keeping marijuana illegal does not benefit our children. It benefits special interest groups: the alcoholic beverage industry, the prison industry, police departments and their suppliers, government bureaucrats, and drug cartels. Tell your legislators in Sacramento to legalize marijuana. Visit yes390.org— July 23, 2009 7:02 a.m.
One Dope Boat
This kind of criminal activity could be eliminated if we would just legalize marijuana for adults. California Assembly Bill 390 does just that. Many Americans are prejudiced against people who choose marijuana as a healthier and less fattening way to relax than alcohol. Anti-marijuana bigotry is widespread because of decades of government propaganda. Ronald Reagan famously said, "I now have absolute proof that smoking even one marijuana cigarette is equal in brain damage to being on Bikini Island during an H-bomb blast." If you want marijuana to be legalized, taxed, and regulated for adults, YOU can make it happen. Tell your legislators to support California Assembly Bill 390. It's easy.
