No-Fuss Pecan Pumpkin Cake
One standard package of cake mix (yellow cake mix) - It's basically cake mix and canned pumpkin. Things you add are all your choice. Cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla,and cloves to taste. Great for any holiday!

Stix in the Mud Crumb Ice Cream
This chocolate ice cream is made on the stove top, custard style. Stix in the Mud Crumbs are added while ice cream is freezing.

Transition-Easing Stew
Since I am transitioning to a "less red meat" diet, I decided to try a dish without any meat in it. This one combines beans, carrots, marinara sauce, sauerkraut, and seasoned salt. You can use fresh-or-frozen vegetables in this, but I keep mostly canned vegetables on hand. That is why I use them.

3-Bean Stew with Ground Turkey

Homemade Beanie Weenie
"Beanie Weenie" was a staple of C-Rations (field rations consisting of three cans, plus various sundries. Replaced by MREs in the 1980's), and are still made today by Stokely-VanDeKamps as a canned "fast prep" item (just open the can, dump into a cooking container, nuke 'em--dinner). However, the canned variety has way too much in sucrose and sodium for my tastes. So, time to haul out the crock pot and see if I can improve on the original. This is what I cam up with:
