It doesn't look like much, but the Valley Farm BBQ Stand xmokes up some of SD's best 'cue. The ribs lack bark due to overzealous Texas crutching, but the smoky flavor and succulent dry rub ease the pain of too-chewy meat and the net result is strongly positive. Even better, the tri tip delivers big smoke and tender meat at the top of its
class. Cheap prices only help to sweeten the pot. If there's a problem, it's that the sauce is too sweet and that there isn't any sweet tea, though a trip to the adjacent Valley Farm Market makes short work of anybody's thirst. Solo diners just need to make sure they get a drink *before* the food's half eaten on the table.
