Nancy Rubins's Pleasure Point sculpture at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, 700 Prospect Street, La Jolla. Rubins's 2006 collection of rowboats, canoes, jet skis, and surfboards has been cantilevered over the western, ocean-facing facade of MCASD's La Jolla Museum building. In 1999, Rubins's similar collection of boats — commissioned by the Port District — never made it to the Convention Center after people complained that it looked like a mid-air shipwreck.
