Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience

One hundred years to the day after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, a new exhibition created in partnership with the National Geographic Society will bring ancient Egypt to San Diego. Photography and technology combine in a multi-sensory exhibition of nine galleries to explore the 3,300 year old story of King Tut– his rule as a child pharaoh, his family, the discovery of his tomb, the mysteries surrounding his early death, and his journey to the afterlife.

When: Everyday 10 am to 7 pm, through Monday, March 27

Sparks Gallery hosts its first international exhibition with artists from the Tijuana region consisting of 17 pieces in a variety of mediums.

Sparks Gallery and the Instituto Municipal de Arte y Cultura de Tijuana are pleased to present an art collection bridging the physical boundary between San Diego and Tijuana and fostering connections between creators and patrons. Formal discussion surrounding migration and movement in a collection of two-dimensional artworks whose narratives are inspired by their creator’s proximity to the border and life between two countries.

When: Friday, January 27, 6 pm to 8 pm through Sunday, February 19, 11 am to 5 pm
