The Cocktail Hour

The Cocktail Hour plays at the Lamplighters Community Theatre from January 14 to February 6.

The time is mid-’70s, the place, New York. John, a playwright, has returned to his family’s home, bringing with him his new play which was based on them. His purpose is to get their permission to proceed with production, but his wealthy, very proper parents are cautious from the start. Plus, John’s sister Nina must be contended with. As the martinis start to flow so do the recriminations and revelations.

When: Sundays 2 pm, Fridays and Saturdays 8 pm. Through Sunday, February 6

Wild Child With Gypsy Eyes

The Doors cover band Wild Child takes the stage at Belly Up.

Wild Child has been recreating live Doors performances for 20 years across the Los Angeles music scene. Music is reproduced to sound just like the Doors, combined with the look of Jim Morrison which front man David Brock brings to the stage. The bill includes band Gypsy Eyes: Jimmy Lewis, Chad Farran and Christian Schinelli play the music of Jimi Hendrix.

When: Friday, January 14, 8 pm

Beyond Van Gogh uses cutting-edge projection technology to create an engaging journey into the world of Van Gogh.

Three-dimensional art exhibition showcasing over 300 of Vincent Van Gogh’s masterpieces projected through a multimedia experience that utilizes projection technology to tell the story of Van Gogh’s career. Shows many of Van Gogh’s most popular pieces such as “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace at Night.”

When: Friday, January 14 until Sunday, March 6
