The Water Conservation Garden hosts Jessica Johnson, native San Diegan whose life mission has been to explore and describe overlooked wonders of the area. Her work reached fruition when she created HiddenSanDiego.net which has received millions of online visits, and has become a resource for explorers who want to reach beyond tourist traps. In this virtual meet the author and book talk, hear stories from Jessica’s experience exploring and writing Abandoned San Diego.

Aubrey Logan was a prodigy on trombone and voice in her teens, a graduate of Berklee College of music, a winner at the world-class Montreux Jazz Festival by her early 20s, and an established touring and recording artist before she was 30. Following her number-one album in 2019, Logan will perform a virtual release party for her new album, Standard.

The regatta, founded in 1987, is considered the premier gathering of schooners on the West Coast. The regatta is open to schooners of all sizes and types and is divided into two or three classes. The coveted America’s Schooner Cup is awarded to the first to finish on corrected times regardless of class. There are perpetual trophies for each class and a Bristol Boat Award. Schooners from 30 feet to 90 feet are sailing this year. You may watch the race for free from Shelter Island, Point Loma, and North Island Coronado.
