All kinds of boob support from SET ACTIVE, Calvin Klein, Target

Women everywhere are boycotting bras during quarantine. Classic underwire has been traded for comfortable bralettes and sports bras. Looking to add to my own collection, I asked around for recommendations.

Regarding bra comfort, 32C doesn’t hold back her feelings. “Burn ‘em! Underwire? Devil wires. Who needs them?” I know I’m on the right track. “I am obsessed with sports bras. They’re way more comfortable and I feel more supported. I fully support all kinds of boob support.”

She sends me a link to her favorite find. “There is one on Amazon (about $17) with a million 5 star reviews. It’s like a tank top, but I wear it as a bra.”

My 34DD friend is on the same page. “I begrudgingly put on my laziest bralette when I leave the house. Unless I’m going somewhere that doesn’t require me getting out of the car — then no bra. I get covid tests sans bra.” When she must strap up, her go-to bralette is scoop neck style with light padding (Target, about $15). “It has light cups, just so the nip doesn’t show through. It’s a stretchy material, no clasps. A sports bra for people who don’t move much.”

Another friend confirms that she’s also over wearing traditional bras. “I can’t remember the last time I wore one, especially since I’m in oversized sweaters and hoodies every day anyway,” says 32B. “I only wear sports bras these days. That way I can work out right after I clock out. Otherwise, I get really lazy and don’t end up working out.”

She likes SET ACTIVE sports bras because they are very stretchy, comfortable, and stylish. “Their stuff is on the pricier side, but worth it in my opinion. You’re paying for quality. I know these sports bras will last me for years.” She bought a pair of ribbed one-shoulder bras plus a square-neck bra for $29.25 each during a Black Friday sale. “They have various sales per year, so it’s easy to score their bras and workout leggings for much cheaper, like I did!”

Similarly, 34C sticks to her brands. “I end up going with Calvin Klein just based on past experience. I’ve always liked their ‘lounge’ bras.” The last set she purchased was a two-pack of spaghetti strap, v-neck bras sold at Costco (about $15-20). “They’ve got those bikini pad inserts that you can leave in or remove, which I also like.” They’re a perfect fit for her new work-from-home lifestyle. “Definitely not something for true support or working out. More like a ‘contain the girls while lounging at home’ vibe.”
